If we mention the name Taylor Swift, we are sure pretty much everyone on the planet has heard of this legendary musician, song writer, philanthropist and all-round genius. But what most of Taylor’s fans (otherwise known as Swifties) love about her, is the fact that she’s incredibly down to earth and feels like she could easily be your best friend.
We became Swifties a little later than most, during the Reputation Era which is our favourite. But most of you will have a personal memory of discovering her music. She has a talent for creating stories within her songs which are relatable and poetic.
At the time of writing this, we are currently in The Life of a Showgirl era and eagerly awaiting TS13. Whilst we wait, we’re planning the greatest Taylor Swift bucket list, with all things Tay-Tay! If you fancy joining in and creating your own Tay-tastic era, then why not take a few of our ideas and make them your own. There’s something for everyone because as Swifties know, Taylor is multitalented. So why not Exile yourself, get creative and make your very own bucket list Wi$h Li$t; are you…Ready For It?

Ultimate Swiftie Things to Do
1. Listen to Every Taylor Swift Song
We all have a favourite Taylor album which we listen to over and over again, but why not mix it up and play them all. There will be many you won’t have heard before and some collaborations which may surprise you. Make it a little more interesting and add in songs that Taylor wrote but were performed by other singers (one of our favourites is “This Is What You Came For” — Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna). If you’re a new Swiftie then be prepared for an emotional roller-coaster, because Taylor’s songs have a way of reminding you about your own personal experiences; both the good and the bad. She is the queen of nostalgia and for many, her songs reflect on life’s biggest moments, memories and emotions.
How you tick off this bucket list item is completely up to you, whether you choose to start from Debut, then move onto Fearless and so on. Or our personal suggestion is to download all the albums and shuffle them. Each song is so unique and rather than getting enmeshed in one specific era, you can mix it up and fall in love with them individually.
What you will find is that Taylor Swift is a talent like no other and when you discover the 10-minute version of All Too Well or the beautiful My Tears Ricochet, then you’ll understand why she is beloved.
2. Make Friendship Bracelets
Swiftie’s are undeniably the greatest fans in the world, as proven by Taylor’s 2023/2024 Eras Tour. During that tour fans created a community of friendship and connection, celebrating together throughout the three and a half hour show. One notable moment was the introduction of friendship bracelets, which have become emblematic of both Taylor and Swifties. Fans passed each other home-made bracelets and Travis Kelce even tried to give Taylor one with his phone number on during the tour.
Interestingly it all came about because of Taylor’s song ‘You’re on Your Own Kid’ from Midnights, where she says, “So, make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” Which is exactly what her fans did and it’s now a staple in the Swiftie wardrobe.
To tick off this swiftie bucket list item, then why not get this Friendship Bracelet Making Kit
and either do it on your own or with friends. Then pass on your beautifully crafted bracelets to people you love or even trade them with fellow Tay Tay fans. You could even make them themed on specific eras, such as purple for fearless or red and black for reputation. If you’re not very crafty or you simply don’t have the time, then you can buy ready-made Friendship Bracelets to hand out.
3. Join Swifties in Decoding Hidden Easter Eggs
We’ll prewarn you now, becoming a Swiftie can mean some work is involved, but there’s lot of fun to be had. Taylor is famous for giving us clues about upcoming songs, albums and projects, sometimes years in advance. She originally started the tradition by capitalising letters in printed lyric booklets, which spelled out hidden messages like “I cried while recording this” for the song Fifteen.
Taylor has admitted to hiding Easter eggs to gamify the fan experience, so you’re not simply watching a music video you’re analysing and looking for hints. She even gives us clues by what she is wearing, whether its national plaid day for the Life of a Showgirl, or snake necklaces for Reputation. Watching Taylor’s music videos with an analytic lens has become a past time for many.
How you tick this off is up to you, it could be that you look into all of her past clues, or you could try and figure out some new ones? If we know anything about Taylor, she’s always teasing us with something new. For those of you who become addicted, then why not join the online world of amateur sleuths and create some videos of your Swiftie theories.
4. Watch Every Taylor Swift Music Video
Did you know that Taylor Swift won the inaugural Artist Director Honor’s, at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in 2026. It was given to her as a celebration of her body of work which at that point included roughly 60 music videos. Within this she wrote and directed 18 of them including Anti-Hero, Fortnight and The Fate of Ophelia. As we’ve already mentioned Taylor is a storyteller, so if her songs are powerful, then you can imagine the visual imagery of her videos. Your bucket list is the perfect excuse to sit down and enjoy a music video marathon, so grab some snacks and get cosy. Our personal favourites are Bejeweled, Anti-Hero, Blank Space and Shake it Off, but we’re sure by the end that you’ll love them all.
5. Go to a Live Taylor Swift Concert
This is probably the number one item on our Swiftie bucket list, but we know it’s not as easy as it sounds. We queued online for the Era’s Tour and didn’t manage to get tickets, but it’s our bucket list dream so hopefully next time we’ll get to watch. Taylor creates concerts like no other artist; there is a visual story to each song which creates an unforgettable experience for the crowd. Our love of Taylor began when we watched the Reputation tour on Netflix, which was breathtaking.
The next time she tours, and if you are lucky enough to get a ticket, then make sure you’re prepared for an all-out spectacle. Many Swifties dress up in costumes from one of her various eras, and you could even take friendship bracelets to give to fellow fans. We avidly watched most of Taylor’s Eras tour on live stream and what we loved, aside from the elaborate stage sets, costumes and choreography, was the way the audience joined in with so much passion. Taylor tends to have special guests on to perform with her and she includes surprise songs, making each show one of a kind.
6. Learn the Famous Swiftie Audience Chants
We only discovered during the Eras Tour, that Swifties have created a series of shout outs for Taylor as part of her concert. They link to certain parts of her songs and as such they’ve become part of a Swiftie tradition. To be the ultimate fan and complete your Taylor bucket list, why not learn all the chants, actions and phrases.
Famous Taylor Swift Audience Chants
| Song | Audience shout-out or tradition |
| Delicate | “1, 2, 3, let’s go bitch!” |
| Anti-Hero | “Taylor, you’ll be fine!” |
| Bejeweled | “Where are you going, Taylor?” |
| Don’t Blame Me | “Take us to church, Taylor!” |
| Style | “What time is it, Taylor?” |
| Blank Space | Shout “Sydney!” or the concert city’s name |
| Karma | Shout “Facts!” |
| Bad Blood | Join in with Kendrick Lamar’s additional lines from the remix |
| All Too Well (10 Minute Version) | “How’d that make you feel?” |
| You Belong With Me | Join in with the famous double clap |
| Fearless | Make a heart shape with your hands |
| Marjorie | Hold up your phone torch to illuminate the stadium |
| Shake It Off | Join in with the three claps |
7. Dress Up Like Taylor Swift / Replicate an Outfit from One of her Eras
We did this for a fancy-dress party and went as Taylor in the 22 music video with the white t-shirt, black shorts and black hat. But there are so many incredible options if you fancy re-creating one of the many iconic looks she has worn. What about the all in one snake body suit for reputation, or the purple sequin dress and faux fur jacket for Midnights. You could make it easy and wear a Debut styled option by simply wearing cowboy boots, but the most important thing is you have fun with it. Just remember to add that iconic red lipstick to your outfit choice, we have read that Taylor wears MAC Locked Kiss 24HR Lipstick in shade Ruby True.
8. Attend a Taylor Swift Tribute Concert
As Taylor Swifts fame has grown, so has the amount of Tribute acts impersonating her. We saw an explosion of tribute concerts during the Eras Tour, because so many fans didn’t have the opportunity to see the legend herself. Tribute concerts can be hit and miss, so make sure you do your homework before getting a ticket. But why not take your Swiftie friends and make a night of it, you could even dress up in your favourite era. Moments like this become incredible memories of the future, which you talk about time and time again. If you’ve taken the time to learn the chants above, then remember to shout them out during the show, and most importantly sing and dance along.
9. Learn to Play a Taylor Swift Song on the Guitar or Piano
Did you know that Taylor Swift can play a number of instruments including a 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, banjo and Ukulele. We started our musical instrument journey by learning to play the ukulele as part of our Hobbies Bucket List. But after watching Tay’s performances, we knew we wanted to play the guitar and so bought ourselves a blue acoustic one because of her famous Koi Fish guitar. We also bought this Easy Guitar for Beginners and began learning to play Wildest Dreams and Cardigan; and we love it!
This TS item is perfect if you’re looking for new hobbies to add to your bucket list and you’ll be surprised at how fast you pick up the chords. If you’re struggling then maybe consider guitar lessons, and there are plenty of YouTube videos to help if you want to keep it cheap. There’s no better feeling than hearing yourself play and singing along to a full song. Whether you want to impress friends with your musical prowess or you simply want to enjoy the learning process; it’s completely up to you.

10. Memorise the Lyrics to Your Favourite Taylor Swift Song
If you’re a Swiftie then you may already know the words to lots of her songs, but if not, then this is the perfect bucket list item. Her songs are masterpieces of emotive art, and you almost feel as though you need to act them out. Why not choose your favourite song and learn all the lyrics, you could print them out and sing along until you know it off by heart. A great combination is memorising the song as you learn to play on guitar or piano, we’re loving Wildest Dreams at the moment.
11. Buy Some Taylor Swift Merchandise
You’ll find amazing Taylor stuff everywhere, so much of it with popular sentences from her songs. We have a beautiful picture hung up with “This is our place, we make the rules” from Lover. There are all sorts on sites like Amazon and Etsy, but we recommend that you also head over to Taylor’s official website because it has everything you’d ever want. Taylor’s iconic cardigans, beautiful t-shirts, jewellery, hoodies, hats, bags and endless accessories. She even offers her albums on old skool options such as vinyl, CD and cassette; we’re seriously considering getting some cassettes and reminiscing about our teens. The best part of the Taylor official site is that it’s broken down into each album. Most Swifties have a favourite era, so you can look through the merch from that specific album.
12. Write Your Own Song Inspired by Taylor or in her Style
If you fancy adding something creative to your Taylor themed bucket list, then why not write a song. This might be in her dramatic, emotive style or could even be about Taylor herself. Writing a song generally involves a core concept formed into a verse, chorus and bridge progression. We all know Taylor is famous for her ranting bridges (think Cruel Summer). In fact, she and Jack Antonoff have talked about it in the past where a rant bridge is simply a stream of uninhibited emotion pouring out. The best thing to do is find something specific to you, whether it’s an emotional journey or personal story. Use Taylor’s technique to describe sights, sounds and feelings so listeners can picture and understand the story you are conveying. Most importantly play around and enjoy the process and if you have the confidence. then let a friend or family member hear it once you’re done.
13. Have a Taylor Swift Movie and TV Marathon
You may not know this, but Taylor has been in a number of movies and TV shows (and we’re sure there will be more in the future). At the time of writing this she had been in seven films including Cats, Hannah Montana: The Movie and Valentine’s Day. She guest starred in a number of TV shows such as CSI and New Girls and also created her own concert films and documentaries. Why not have a day on the couch in your PJ’s and watch everything Taylor’s ever been in. You’ll find out the multi-talented Tay is even great at acting, just another reason to love her.
14. Read a Book About Taylor or One she References in Her Songs
Do you think you know everything about Taylor? Well why not discover how she came to be, by reading an autobiography about her life. There isn’t an authorised biography from Taylor herself, but there are plenty of others which detail her personal life, childhood, career and cultural impact.
Some of the best Taylor Swift autobiographies at the moment are:
- Taylor Swift: Era by Era by Caroline Sullivan
- Taylor Swift: The Whole Story by Chas Newkey-Burden
- Taylor Swift: Unofficial Search and Find Biographies by Gus Morais
- Taylor Swift: The Story of Us – A Swiftie’s Journey Across the Eras by Caitlin Robson
Or you could read a book referenced in one of Taylor’s songs, which span across the classics and children’s books. Some examples include Romeo and Julie by William Shakespeare (Love Story), Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie (Cardigan), The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things) and of course Hamlet by Shakespeare (The Fate of Ophelia).
15. Celebrate the Release of a New Taylor Swift Album or Song
The wait for a new album or song is incredibly exciting, and Taylor knows how to create a build-up. We normally get some clues or a countdown clock, so why not plan to take some time out of your busy life. Taylor’s songs are a roller-coaster journey, so we like to shut everything off and give them the time they deserve. How you enjoy a new album and who you celebrate with, is completely up to you. But we recommend gathering your fave Swifties, making some Tay themed cocktails and getting the snacks in (sourdough anyone?). You can dress up in Taylor themed costumes or do it the way she would, PJ’s, cardigans and blankets. Enjoying a new album drop is a big day for Swifties, and you suddenly see a deluge of posts about it, with bloggers making guesses about each song; what do the lyrics means and who are they about.
16. Donate to an Organisation that Tay Supports
As Taylor’s fame and wealth has grown, she has repeatedly given to numerous charities across varying causes. During her Eras tour she reportedly gave a years’ worth of food bank donations to every city she performed in and has been known to give money to sick fans who are struggling. It’s one of the many reasons we love her, and her fans love to join in and organise massive charitable campaigns. Because we don’t all have the billions Taylor does, you will find that many Swifties will donate $13 which is her lucky number. There are plenty of us out there, so as you can imagine the donations soon add up. There are plenty of charities Taylor cares about such as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, LGBTQ+ rights at GLAAD or Elizabeth Taylor’s AIDS Foundation. If money is a little tight then you could volunteer your time to help a local cause or simply listen to her song Elizabeth Taylor, because all proceeds go to Elizabeth’s estate and a portion of that is donated to her AIDS Foundation. What matters most is you’re thinking about others and that’s truly the Swiftie way.
17. Make Your Ultimate Swift Playlist
Taylor has an insane catalogue of songs over her twenty plus music career and although we’re major Swifties, we don’t necessarily love them all; but that’s ok. So why not take some time out and put together your very own Swiftie playlist. You can either go through each album and pick out your favourite songs or mix it up and choose the best of the best.
18. Visit Somewhere in the World Connected to Taylor
There are so many iconic places connected with Taylor, whether it’s one of her favourite spots, locations associated with her childhood and career or places mentioned in her songs. You could travel to Reading, Pennsylvania where she grew up, or Nashville, Tennessee which is the place she began her music career. One of Tay’s favourite places in the world is New York City where she lived and got married in Madison Square Garden. But it’s also home to songs such as Welcome to New York, Delicate (dive bar on the East Side), Cornelia Street and Cardigan (your heartbeat on the high line). During her hiatus from celebrity life, Taylor moved to London for a year and its influence is heard in songs such as London Boy, So Long, London and The Black Dog (which is a pub you can visit).
If you’re looking for something a little different, then what about visiting locations featured in her music videos such as Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York (Blank Space) or the historic Millenium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California (Delicate).
19. Celebrate Taylor Swifts Birthday
Taylor was born on the 13th December 1989, hence the album titled 1989 and her favourite number being 13. If you’re a big Swiftie then why not celebrate Taylor’s birthday with her. It would be rude not to enjoy some cake on such a special day and maybe you and your Swiftie friends could get together for brunch.
20. Bake One of Taylor’s Favourite Tasty Treats
You may not know that Taylor is an incredible baker and loves to try new recipes. She’s been known to bake cookies for reporters and people she works with and discussed her obsession with sourdough bread on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce. Whilst we wait for the official Taylor Swift cookbook, you can find her favourite Chai Sugar Cookie recipe from ‘Joy the Baker’s’ online. Once you’ve perfected cookies, then why not follow in Tay’s footsteps and get a bit more adventurous. Taylor’s sourdough passion has led to her making homemade breads, boules, cinnamon rolls and she’s been known to make homemade Pop-Tarts for the Chief’s offensive line. If you’re unsure where to start, then simply look on YouTube for a simple recipe. We recommend trying cookies and pop tarts first, but there are plenty of sourdough kits around if you want to dive into the deep end. You could even make your baking Taylor themed and add colours from specific albums.
21. Watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and End of an Era on Disney+
One of our biggest life regrets will always be not seeing the Eras Tour live, the closest we got was watching live streams from fans on TikTok. What made Taylor’s Eras Tour a cultural phenomenon is a combination of different elements. Firstly, it was a crazy 3.5 hours long and covered her entire career up to that point. You saw 10 distinct sections from her 11 albums, and then she released The Tortured Poets Department during the tour and added an additional section for us to enjoy. There were eras that fans had never seen on tour before such as Lover, Folklore and Evermore. The Eras Tour was record breaking in the number of shows and the amount of money made, some of the concerts even registered seismic activity. It created many new traditions such as friendship bracelets, new costumes and surprise acoustic songs.
Taylor is known for being multi generational when it comes to her fans, and the Eras Tour proved that. If you didn’t go and you’re wondering what all the mania is about, or you were lucky enough to go and you want to see it all over again. Then why not watch the Eras Tour on Disney+, it gives you close ups and angles which make you feel like you’re there in the front row. She performs all her top hits in such a beautiful, fun and quirky way, we know that you’ll love it.
But once you have seen the show itself, then make sure you watch Taylor Swift: The End of an Era which is also on Disney+. It’s a wonderful look into the background of the tour, from its inception, rehearsal, the performance itself and everyone who made it possible. We laughed and yes we cried a few times through it, but it was a wonderful example of why Taylor is one of us. It’s also a beautiful introduction into her ongoing love story with Travis Kelce.
22. Host a Taylor Swift Trivia Quiz
Call yourself a Swiftie, then prove it! Why not host or join a Taylor Swift trivia night and see how much you know about the lady herself. If it’s your own party and you want to join in then ask a friend to be the host, because who knows Tay better than you? You can make this as easy or fancy as you like, from simple PJs and nibbles to all out fancy dress and cocktails named after the lady herself; Champagne Problems anyone? From questions about her career, childhood or even celebrity relationships, see which of your friends is the ultimate Swiftie. To make life easier you can buy this ‘The Essential Taylor Swift Trivia Book 143 Questions, 13 Fun Facts, 1 Iconic Artist’ at Amazon.
23. Spend the Day Wearing Tay’s Favourite Colour Purple
In past interviews Taylor has mentioned that her favourite colour is purple. Which makes sense when you consider that Speak Now is basically her purple era and she mentions it in songs such as Invisible String, Lavender Haze and Afterglow. To celebrate the Swiftie queen, why not embrace her favourite colour and spend the day in purple hues. You could wear head to toe purple or add a little to your outfit. But you’ll not only tick off a bucket list item, you’ll also know you’re paying homage to Taylor.
24. Attend a Taylor Swift Themed Party
You can tick this one off in a number of ways, whether you attend a Taylor themed party or host one yourself. It could even be a sleep over with your friends, or going to a Taylor event in a club or pub. There are daytime raves close to us and sometimes they are Taylor Swift themed, so we’re planning on attending the next one.
If you’re the host then you can decide whether it’s fancy dress in the various eras, or simply Swiftie merch such as a t-shirt. You can play her songs, enjoy lots of drinks and snacks, of course cookies are a must (especially if you’ve chosen baking as one of your bucket list items) and enjoy some Taylor trivia. What matters most is that you grab your favourite Swifties and remember why ‘It’s Nice to Have a Friend.’
25. Create Taylor Swift Inspired Nail Art
The best way to show your Swiftie allegiance is by displaying it proudly and where better than on your nails. Nail art is incredibly popular, so why not theme your next appointment on all things Taylor. It could be based on one specific era and album, or a combination of them all. The best thing is you can play around and create something beautiful to show your friends and family. You’ll soon make Swiftie friends when they spot your nails and recognise a fellow Tay lover.
26. Take Part in a Swiftie Sing-along or Karaoke Night
Why not recreate your own concert where only Taylor songs are aloud, you could do this at home with friends or head to a karaoke booth for all out atmosphere. Remember to prepare those vocal cords and practice the iconic dance moves, because Tay would expect us to perform at our best. If you’re doing it at home, then you could get a karaoke machine or simply play her music and sing your hearts out. The most important thing is the vibe and as long as you’re having fun then it’s a winner.
27. Binge Watch One of Her Favourite TV Shows
As you can imagine Taylor has been interviewed by everyone and asked every conceivable question under the sun. One of the things we know about her (aside from her passion of baking), is that she loves to binge TV shows. Interestingly Taylor’s cats are all connected to characters she loves on TV and in movies, they are Meredith Grey from Greys Anatomy, Olivia Benson from Law & Order: SVU and Benjamin Button from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. But on top of this she’s mentioned Friends, Dateline, Downton Abbey, Killing Eve and Game of Thrones, which is said to heavily influence the Reputation album. If Taylor loves them, then surely we’ll love them too, so why not spend the day or weekend binge watching one of her favourite shows. Prep this special bucket list item with your fave snacks, drinks and person beside you.
28. Deep Dive into the Suspected Meaning Behind Some of Her Lyrics
This is a dangerous road to go down, because there are plenty of Swifties out there with opinions about some of her lyrics. All Too Well is an anthology of symbolism, which many relate to her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal; especially the reference to the red scarf. Even The Smallest Man Whoever Lived is said to be about Matt Healy of The 1975. But there is much much more as you delve into Taylor’s world of storytelling. You’ll find there are plenty of videos on most socials connected to the metaphors she uses and theories behind the lyrics.
29. Follow Taylor on Her Social Media Accounts
Are you even a Swiftie if you don’t follow all her social media accounts, because this is the best place to get the latest on all things Taylor. You can enjoy the dropping of a new album and see the latest official pictures; at the time of writing this we’re still waiting for wedding dress pictures. But you also know you’re joining a community who have the same love of Taylor’s songs as you do.
30. Make a New Friend Through Your Shared Love of Taylor Swift
You’re a huge Swiftie, but everyone around you doesn’t get it and you’re sick of explaining Taylor’s genius to friends and family. The answer is simple, find new friends who are fellow Swifties and who will happily delve into her lyrics and share their love of all things Taylor. You can start chatting to other people on Taylor’s official social pages or look for fan pages online. Even better is creating a Taylor Swift bucket list with a friend and doing it together. It’ll create more fun, laughter and joy, plus lots of stories for you to remember in the future.
There’s our Taylor Swift bucket list which is ideal for lifelong Swifties, or those of you who have recently fallen in love with her lyrical genius. Joining the fandom is a mixture of excitement, roller-coaster emotions, laughter and catharsis. Not only will our list help you discover more about Taylor, but you’ll have the opportunity to look at how her lyrics connect to your own life and the impact it has on you personally. So, turn up the music “make the friendship bracelets” (You’re on Your Own Kid) and “Come on, come along with me / Heartbreak is the national anthem, we sing it proudly” (New Romantics).
