Afternoon Tea with National Trust
Through Virgin Experience you could treat your mum to a National Trust day out with cream tea for two. So she can take someone with her to make it extra special, at only £49.00 we also think it’s a bargain.
Who Are National Trust
The National Trust looks after beautiful areas of the country that need to be protected, opening them up to the public so everyone can appreciate amazing gardens and parks, sites and monuments. Don’t miss out on seeing all the wonderful things the country has to offer.

National Trust Vegan Cream Tea
If you are vegan or plant based then we have some good news. In 2019 The National Trust added a Vegan Cream Tea option to all of their sites that offer the regular version. The new vegan cream tea features a plain scone and oat milk vegan cream
They have had a good range of hot meals and light snacks that are also suitable for vegans for a while. These have included coronation cauliflower and couscous salad, mixed bean chilli and red lentil cottage pie.
The addition of their vegan cream tea really rounds of their plant based and vegan options, so they have something for every palate. But if you can’t get to one of their locations or don’t have membership you needn’t worry, they have a recipe on their website for a homemade vegan cream tea.
Having experienced a great range of NCL vegan cruise and Carnival vegan cruise options, it’s refreshing to see English institutes like The National Trust embracing the change.
Booking Your afternoon Tea for Two?
The season generally runs from 1st April to 31st October. Opening times vary from property to property. Kindly note: vouchers are not valid for use on Bank Holidays or anytime over Bank Holiday weekends.
Selected National Trust locations are excluded either because they are too small for a large number of visitors, or because they are managed by another body such as English Heritage.
In order to enjoy your delicious cream tea, regular or vegan, we advise you to book at least 48 hours in advance.
Once you have identified the National Trust site you want to visit, simply visit their website and ping them a request using the contact us option. Responses and confirmations are usually received within 24hrs
When you arrive just tell the cafe or restaurant the booking details, then just sit back and relax and enjoy a lovely afternoon with your friends, and of course a lovely cream tea.
If you missed the afternoon tea season, then there is always the option of a National Trust membership as a Christmas gift!
